How should I take this medication?

Topical: Apply a thin layer once or twice daily to the affected areas.

How to Take:  Apply topically to the skin after bathing or after wet soaks. Occlusive dressing may be used if instructed by a health care professional. Wash your hands after each use (unless they are part of the treatment area).  Do not use on open wounds.

TRIDESILON/DESOWEN/DESRX/VERDESO (Desonide) may cause hypercortisolism or suppression of the HPA axis, in younger children when used in high doses for prolonged periods of time.  Prolonged use of desonide can also result in fungal or bacterial superinfections.

If you miss a dose of medication, try to take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, take only that scheduled dose. Do not take double or extra doses.

How should I store this medication?
