Indicated for treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

How does this medication work?

Aclidinium Bromide, Tudorza is a long acting competitive, reversible inhibitor of acetylcholine at type 3 muscarinic (M3) receptors located in the bronchial smooth muscle which causes bronchodilation.

What should I watch for while using this medication?

Before starting Aclidinium Bromide, Tudorza make sure your physician is aware of any allergies (severe allergy to milk protein) or medications you currently take, if you have glaucoma, suffer from urinary retention, are pregnant, or breastfeeding. Aclidinium Bromide, Tudorza use has been associated with rare but serious adverse events such as paradoxical bronchospasm and hypersensitivity reactions.

How should I take this medication?

Dry powder inhaler: Inhale one dose (400mcg) twice daily approximately 12 hours apart.

How to Take: Remove from sealed pouch immediately prior to first use, remove protective cap from the inhaler and prepare inhaler by pressing and releasing the green button to load the dose.  Prior to inhaling the dose, breathe out completely before forming a tight seal with lips around mouthpiece and breathe in.  Listen for a “clicking” sound to ensure that the full dose has been given, although some patients may not hear the “click.” Use the control window, which should turn red after inhalation, to make sure the dose was inhaled correctly. If the control window is still green, repeat inhalation steps.

What if I miss a dose?

If you miss a dose of medication, try to take it as soon as possible.  However, if it is almost time for your next dose, take only that scheduled dose.  Do not take double or extra doses.

How should I store this medication?

Product should be stored inside sealed pouch and only removed immediately before use. Discard product 45 days after opening pouch, when device locks out, or when dose indicator displays “0”, whichever comes first.

What are the possible side effects of using this medication?

Side effects are uncommon with this medication however some that may occur are headache, diarrhea, and nasopharyngitis.
